Learn how to create your very own fine silver jewelry in this in-person silver metal clay class at Yours-N-Mine design in Highland Village, TX. This class is a fun, engaging course that will introduce you to the amazing world of metal clay and designing your own jewelry using Fine Silver (.999) Metal Clay from start to finish. We will cover all the basics of working with metal clay. Learn the fundamentals of texturing, layering, shaping, stone setting, firing with both a torch and a kiln, and adding a patina to your project.
You will be amazed as you transform your clay into beautiful pieces of fine silver jewelry that you designed. You will have the choice of making pieces from hundreds of molds and textures handmade by your expert instructor, Sandra Butchko. Depending on the size of your pieces, you can take home up to 5 pieces from this beginner course. Feel free to wear them home, add them to your studio collection for resale, or give them to a loved-one! We will also make sure to polish and patina your pieces before you leave. Jewelry pieces may also be added to the Tumbler for more shine and sparkle. If you are interested in learning other base metals, our classes can be converted to other metal clays if desired, such as copper or bronze.
You will:
- Create jewelry pieces from hundreds of choices of molds, textures, templates and shapes.
- Create beautiful custom jewelry pieces (2-5) exactly how you want.
- Receive instruction on how to use tools and jewelry hardware.
- Use studio tools, torch and kiln.
- Receive materials as needed for your project (jewelry chain, jump rings, stones, glass and a gift box).
- Take home handcrafted jewelry pieces at the end of your class.
Location: Highland Village, TX | Flower Mound, TX area
Cost: $320 for class PLUS $50 materials fee for 20 grams of Fine Silver. Total $370.
Class Length: 8 hours (9am-5pm)
Number of Attendees: Maximum is 3 people.
Age: Students must be 18 or older to attend.
